What is Ready. Set. Dare?

Ready. Set. Dare! is an accessible peer-to-peer fundraiser that anybody can sign up and take part in. All you need to do is decide on a dare, sign up, and ask friends and family to help you reach your fundraising goal. You also get to decide at what point you will do your dare. Will you do it once you’ve hit your fundraising goal? Will you do it once you reach a certain date? It’s up to you! Your dare. Your way.

What is Together We Dare?

Holland Bloorview is leading the largest fundraising campaign in Canadian history for pediatric disability. We’re raising $100 million to establish Holland Bloorview’s Centre for Excellence in Childhood Disability. We’re daring to change the face of pediatric disability care across Canada.

Who is Holland Bloorview?

We are the only children’s rehabilitation hospital in Canada focused on combining world-class care, transformational research and academic leadership in the field of pediatric disability. At Holland Bloorview we believe in creating a world where all youth and children belong. Every year we help over 9,500 kids and youth with disabilities and complex medical needs access care that focuses on their physical, mental and emotional well-being, and we power their infinite potential and possibility.

How do I get started?

Dare your people to show up and support your fundraiser with a donation.
Every dollar you raise will be matched 3X and shape the future of healthcare for kids with disabilities.

Is there a minimum I need to raise?

No. You get to decide your goal! At any point during your fundraising, you can change it as you wish by logging into your fundraising dashboard.

What is the impact of my fundraising?

Your donation will:

Make sure kids with disabilities have access to the latest evidence-based, specialized care, transformative research and innovative technology no matter where they are.
Accelerate health equity and personalized care for kids with disabilities.
Reduce wait times by expanding our programs and training more health care professionals to provide specialized care.
Bring the latest research and technology innovations into clinical care – faster than ever before.
Make sure no child falls through the gaps, no matter their diagnosis, location, race, or family income.

Can I pick any dare?

Yes, any kind! It is up to you – Your Dare, Your Way. You can try an athletic dare, a food dare, a silly dare, a kind dare, an extreme dare. Please keep others in mind and do your dare at your own risk. Need help deciding what dare to try? Connect with our team at [email protected]

How can I donate?

You can donate online directly to a fundraisers page by searching their name and donate online.
You can also donate over the phone by calling 416-424-3809, or mailing a cheque addressed to “Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation” (OR “Holland Bloorview Foundation”) at 150 Kilgour Rd, Toronto, M4G 1R8 with the fundraiser you are supporting in the memo. If you wish to drop off cash or a cheque in-person, please contact [email protected] to arrange with one of our staff.

Can I make an anonymous donation?

Yes. Immediately after you make your donation, you will be prompted to add your name or choose Anonymous. Once you submit this information, your name will not be displayed publicly with your donation, it will only be shared with the fundraiser your donated to and Holland Bloorview for thanking and tax receipt purposes respectively.

Will my donation be matched?

Yes, 3x! Every dollar you gift will be matched 3x by The Slaight Family Foundation and Holland Bloorview’s Board of Directors.

My donation did not show up on the page I donated to. Can I move it?

Please contact [email protected] and our team will be happy to help get your donation moved to the correct page.

How do I get my tax receipt?

After you make a donation, you will receive a confirmation email that has your tax receipt linked near the bottom of the email. If you have trouble finding it, please contact [email protected] and our team will be happy to help.
