As many of you know, last year I had a wild night at the ballgame — I got rocked in the face by a 110 mph foul ball. It hurt. A lot. After I got back from the medics, I was swarmed by kids asking if I was okay. That moment meant a lot to me.
To make things even crazier, a selfie I took in that moment racked up over 30 million views on social media. I ended up featured in People magazine, The New York Times… and even got my own Topps baseball card!
To give back to the children of Toronto, I’ve donated 100% of my proceeds from Topps Now Cards — over $5,000 — to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, in support of the amazing work they do both everyday, and in concussion research and care.
Rehabilitation is often a long hard journey, but Holland Bloorview provides care, compassion, and moments of joy every step of the way.
Now that i'm finally feeling better in my own concussion rehab, im asking you to please join me in paying my strange fortune forward to benefit the children of Toronto.
